Vaccinations are a key component in keeping your kitten healthy as they grow. Many diseases can be effectively prevented through vaccination.

When should kittens get their first vaccinations?

The first set of vaccinations should occur between 6-8 weeks of age, as the natural immunity the kitten has received from his/her mother starts to wane.

How often does my kitten need to be vaccinated?

Re-vaccination is then required every 3-4 weeks until 14-16 weeks of age. Rabies vaccination is usually given close to 16 weeks of age.

Does my kitten only need core vaccines?

Every cat’s vaccine requirements are different depending on their lifestyle and risk factors. Our veterinarians will have a discussion with you about the vaccine options and make recommendations from there.
