A comprehensive checkup of your dog to ensure they remain happy and healthy.
A dog may require a urinalysis when a urinary tract disease is suspected, when a pet is unwell, or to help assess kidney function.
A registered veterinary technician will examine the collected urine sample under the microscope. If an abnormality is detected in the sample, the veterinarian will discuss whether further testing is needed and if any treatment is recommended.
Urine may be collected by free-catch at home or at the clinic, or sometimes by cystocentesis if a sterile sample is required. Cystocentesis involves using a small needle to draw urine directly from the bladder. Our ultrasound helps us see exactly where the bladder is located, allowing for safe urine collection.
